User Guide

The Why: Generative AI is a powerful tool, but getting high-quality, pedagogically sound results requires providing it with clear, structured, and comprehensive instructions. This app acts as a "translator," converting your expert knowledge and teaching goals into a detailed prompt that guides the AI to produce effective and reliable assessment materials, saving you time while improving the quality of the output.

The What: By filling out the sections below, you are "prompt engineering." You are building a set of precise instructions that give the AI the necessary context about your learners, learning objectives, and the specific content you want it to create.

The How: For best results, follow these steps:

  1. Complete the fields in Sections A, B, and C to define the course context, learning objectives, and content scope.
  2. In Section D, select the specific assessment materials you want the AI to create.
  3. Use Sections E, F, and G for any additional fine-tuning desired.
  4. If you need to also upload supplementary information, make sure to select Instruct AI to wait for additional materials before generating your prompt.
  5. The "Generate Prompt" button will compile all provided inputs into a single, comprehensive prompt. If you make additional changes, generate a fresh prompt.
  6. Copy the generated prompt and paste it into your preferred AI chat interface (like ChatGPT, Claude, etc.). If you want to save a prompt, use the Download.txt. button.

Remember: The more detail you provide in your initial prompt, the more tailored and effective the AI's output will be.
